'Rym-Hsak'- A Vivid Dream (Feb 2017)
The messengers came from the back
Veiled cavemen,
With a message so piercing,
Puncturing, so explosive…
Turning green into flames orange,
The fields of saffron into an inferno
Burning and burning, until saffron became charred green,
The hue of nature, the symbol of fertility, the shade of lust
Veiled behind an unfathomable desire
To fill the palette green
A scroll made from the leaf,
Held in hands of the messenger,
Tasked with a divine urge
From the north,
Blistering her beauty to,
Infernal complexions,
Her new makeup, persona
Veiled in green
A symbol of lust
Her cornea radiating like the sun,
Her sclera like White Mountains,
White like the moon,
Her desires unheard of
Still exploding, unable to speak
Begging her monarch to bond with the
Iron hand, so as to become invincible
Like the pillar
His lust for power as invincible as the iron pillar
The stroke of his decision…
Now she oxidizes corroding green
All apples turning bad
Rice becoming dry
Saffron losing its hue
No more the story of paradise but a long…
Prolonged…
Episode of dystopic submission
One day they will come
With a palette of orange
To brush up her beauty, her being
Paradise, regaining what was lost,
To eradicate the caves
To make them leave their colony like ants
To unveil the messenger
The message of the unseen
Drowned in mule and back
To the subconscious, into unseen
Land of dreams and imagination
They came dressed in natural green
With the orange idea
Flaring their caves
Making them run like rats up the mountains
Up north, out of town
Unveiling their green messenger
With the copper stab, now strewn out of thoughts
An idea eliminated
Beauty restored
A re-union with her children
The land of orange
Remained, with fields of saffron, the red of apples,
The white of rice and the transcendent beauty of nature’s green
Note: This was by far one of the most apocalyptically hopeful dreams I had. It was during the time I was undergoing a lot of stress. I was in a lot of stress with a 120% course load since in second year I had dropped a course, "Environmental Hazards" it was one of those 7-10 PM courses at UTSC on a Tuesday. We learned a lot about volcanoes. I practically was making up for that dropped course in my final year to complete my credits and graduate. The course I had chosen to balance the act was a huge gamble and I did not know if it would remain in my favour. The constant worry of not doing well and taking a hit on my GPA by poor grades who are like messengers of bad news. I was also looking at the positives which is, if I do well then the reward would also be great. I like spices and nature hence, green and saffron. The colour of orange represents the sun which is 'life-giving', I mean photosynthesis.
